BIG NEWS AND OPENING UP!!!
I don’t even know where to start. I’ll start by saying my goal is to always be honest with you guys but I have to admit, it’s hard. It’s hard because I am not only sharing my life with my supporters but everyone else on the internet to judge and make their assumptions about me. I wish I could have a private group with you all but that’s not realistic. But this is my job and honestly, since quitting keto, it has made such a difference. Not only with my body but my mental health. I was at a place in my life where I really needed to focus on my mental health and balance. Making the decision to quit keto was really hard for me. Change can be scary but I’m so glad I made the switch.
Here’s the tea
I want to help you. I want to help you in any way I can. I want to help you change your diet and lifestyle to focus on balance. If you feel stuck in that diet mentality or cycle or you were taught that the only way to lose weight was to eat 1,200 calories for the rest of your life, please let me help you.
Working on tracking my macros made me realize that I had been under eating for years and most of my adult life. When I thought I couldn’t tolerate carbs, it was the overall issue that I had been under eating. And honestly, it’s not my fault. I was uneducated and in the time that I grew up, diet culture was HUGE. Insane diets like the egg and wine diet or eating 1,200 calories. I remember Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan were all over the tabloids and they were idolized as beautiful. Which is true, but later it came out that they were both struggling with eating disorders and drug use. It was everywhere and plastered over every magazine, book, commercial, tv show, etc. If it’s everywhere, how could it not be true, right? A lot of people my age and over are still in that mindset.
Keto to Balance
So, after deciding to transition from keto to a more balanced lifestyle, I was scared. I decided I needed to see a professional macro coach in order to help me make the change because I was lost. It was the best decision I have ever made. I’ve eaten more food than I have in years. I used to think that I would have to eat 1,200 calories for the rest of my life. And mind you, I was eating 1,200 calories and not losing any weight because my body had adapted to such low calories. So, how are you gonna go any lower than 1,200? Crazy, right? Now, here I am eating 2,400 calories and I look and feel better than I have in years.
For me, tracking macros is the exact opposite of a diet. It has taught me to eat enough food and enough of the right foods. What I mean by that is more veggies, rice, bread, potatoes and still adding in my favorites like hot cheetos and candy. Absolutely no food is off-limits. I can incorporate chips, candy and ice cream along with my regular meals.
Tracking macros has completely changed my life. I’m happier and healthier than I think I’ve ever been. I’m so passionate about this and I want other people to feel as good as I do. I used to think I would be starving for the rest of my life and that’s just how I was supposed to live. I had completely convinced myself that I was full and that the food I was eating was fulfilling me. Don’t get me wrong – it was good but I needed more. I love cheese and I still snack on my bell peppers. It truly breaks my heart that I thought that and I’m sorry if I ever made anyone else feel like that.
I always said that I was sharing my journey and this is all part of it. The good, the bad, the ugly, the truth. Thank you for being here with me and supporting me in the different stages of life that I go through.
With that being said, I am extremely passionate about this. I always loved helping people and I thought if my journey helped people then I am here for it. But I’m telling you, after experiencing working with a macro coach, I knew this was my next step. I am constantly getting messages from people asking for help and the time has finally come. I want you to eat the foods you love and create an awesome relationship with food like I have developed. I want you to feel as amazing as I do because I know some of you are struggling and need the guidance and extra push. I am here for you, bestie!
I started with my coach in October and feeling my absolute best! This isn’t something that happens overnight but you look back and realize that it’s already been 5 months and suddenly you lost 19 lbs by eating more.
I just passed my macro coaching class so I will start taking clients at the beginning of April. I am not a nutritionist or dietician but I will be a NASM, AFSS, ISSA approved macro coach. Please stay tuned for all the details on my Instagram and Newsletter! I’ll be accepting a few clients at first so spots will be extremely limited. I am so so so excited!
Living happier and healthier!
Love you all,
