You are going to love this Macro Friendly Protein Pineapple Crush Refresher. It’s perfect for when you want something light but still packed with protein.
Sometimes I’m not feeling a protein shake, protein fluff or really anything to eat. I know I always promote eating your protein, but shakes and refreshers are okay too if you’re not too hungry and need a snack. They’re also convenient when you’re on the go.
My protein pineapple crush refresher is also an amazing post workout drink. It’s no secret that after a workout the best combo is some protein and carbs. Since I count my macros and need to hit my protein goal, this drink is great. I know a lot of other people struggle to hit their daily protein goal and this is packed with 25g.
Protein Pineapple Crush Refresher
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Mason Jar – it’s cute and always a must when making a cute drink. They’re so versatile as well. A great way to store pickled veggies, overnight oats, salads, dressings, and of course cute drinks.
- Pineapple Crush Packet – I used Pineapple but they also offer a variety pack with cherry, watermelon, grape, strawberry and orange.
- Protein Powder – This is one of my favorites. I use the vanilla flavor but they have great flavors! I used this protein powder to make my protein fluff as well.
- Milk Frother – Definitely a household item you need. You can make my refresher, cold foam, matcha, etc.
- 8 ounces of water
Can I switch out the pineapple flavor?
Of course. This can be used with any flavoring of your choice – you can use mio, the hawaiian punch singles, crystal light, etc. I usually like to stick with anything zero calories and sugar free.
Can I use bubbly water?
Definitely! If you want to make it more of a soda or some may even call it a protein mockatil go ahead – is that a thing? We are making it a thing now. What is even considered a mocktail? Does a chocolate milk count as a mocktail? Insert laughing emoji. Ok, we are getting off topic.
