This Skinny Tropical Melon Margarita is for all my girls out there! Low calorie, perfect amount of sweetness, refreshing, and overall one of the best margaritas I've had. With a few simple ingredients, you will have two perfect cocktails for you and your bestie.
Forget jalapeño, I am officially claiming this as the margarita of the summer. Better yet, the overall cocktail of the summer. Imagine this - my broccoli salad, antipasto salad, spinach feta stuffed mushrooms (because they're freaking amazing), jalapeño watermelon salsa, alaskan rockfish or cilantro lime shrimp tacos paired with these skinny tropical melon margaritas. That makes for the perfect summer barbecue or dinner with the family on a warm summer night. Does anyone else forget what a warm summer night feels like? I'm craving it right now!
If you don't already have bar kit, I'd highly recommend it to make it much easier to make yummy cocktails. It's a kitchen necessity honestly. Even for mocktails.
So, did you try out this recipe? I’d love to see you recreate it. Also, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook so I can see.
To your shaker cup, 4oz tequila, add 6-8 ounces of water, tropical melon drink mix, lime juice, 1/2 cup of ice, and shake well.
Take your margarita glass, rim 1/4 of the glass with chamoy and dip into the tajin. Add the rest of fresh ice to the glass. Repeat for second glass.
Lastly, strain the mixture into your two margarita glasses and garnish with a fresh slice of lime. Best enjoyed by a pool or body of water on a hot sunny day.
