With the holidays around the corner, I have created this Holiday Mistletoe Margarita. This drink the perfect pairing to your Christmas dinner or a fun and festive cocktail for your holiday party. I love to make simple cocktails around the holidays, but add something festive to make it look like I put in a lot of work.
I have to be honest, the holidays can be super overwhelming. This blog and sharing my recipes with you guys has really kept me motivated and in the holiday spirit. Don’t get me wrong, I love Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, but juggling family, work and trying to have a balanced lifestyle can be difficult. That’s why when you come to my blog, I want to provide simple and quick recipes that are easy to whip up.
Pairing cranberry with tequila may sound like a unique choice, but with everything combined, including the lime, it makes for a perfect combination. You can even add something festive to my Low Calorie Classic Margarita to make it a little more jolly. If you’re not a fan of tequila, you can easily swap it out with your favorite hard liquor. I think the next best liquor to pair this with would be vodka (Tito’s is my favorite!).
Holiday Mistletoe Margarita
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 1/2 oz of tequila
- The juice of 1/2 lime
- 1/3 cup light cranberry juice
- A splash of sparkling water
- Fresh cranberries
- Salt
- A cute glass!
Directions:
- With a lime wedge, splitting it in the middle, rim the edge of the glass.
- Dip glass in salt.
- Add fresh ice, tequila, lime juice and cranberry juice to your shaker cup and shake. If you don’t have a shaker cup, you can add it straight into the glass.
- Add fresh ice to your cup.
- Strain your mixture into your new glass.
- Top it off with sparkling water and fresh cranberries.
- Enjoy with dinner, or up the serving size to add to a punch bowl!
