The Best Cauliflower Mash you’ll ever have. It’s easy to make and so creamy and delicious!
It’s a great alternative to mashed potatoes. While having mashed potatoes is completely fine, if you want a lower calorie option, this is just as good. Also a great way to sneak in more vegetables for your family! Cauliflower mash is not only good for around the holidays, it’s perfect to tons of dinners - including my meatloaf. One of my favorite meals is steak, cauliflower mash and a Caesar salad. So yummy!
I absolutely love cauliflower. You can season and cook it so many ways. That’s the secret to making this cauliflower mash taste similar to mashed potatoes. Another tip to cooking this dish is to boil until soft so it purées nice and smooth.
Cauliflower can be so many things and that’s what I love about it. If you haven’t tried my other cauliflower dishes, you definitely need to.
Start by chopping both cauliflower heads into about 1 inch pieces or smaller.
Next, bring your water to a boil. Add a bit of salt and cover if you need it to boil quicker.
Boil for 10-15 minutes or until soft.
Add your cauliflower to a blender with your butter, heavy whipping cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
Blend until smooth - be sure there are no big chunks of cauliflower. I’ve noticed that when I blend it completely, it tastes closer to actual mashed potatoes.
Lastly, garnish with your favorite toppings. I like to top my cauliflower mash with a few slices of green onion.
