Crockpot Honey Sriracha Chicken

Crockpot Honey Sriracha Chicken

You are going to love this Crockpot Honey Sriracha Chicken - especially for meal prep. It's sweet, spicy and the chicken comes out juicy.

As you know, I'm a huge fan of crockpot dinners. As someone who is always trying to make meals quick and with the least amount of effort most days, it comes in handy. Throw everything in and dinner is ready when you get home from work. Easy peasy. It's ALMOST like you have a little helper. You give the little crockpot all the ingredients and then she makes everything for you. I love her.

I see kids on TikTok complaining about crockpot dinners but I'm sorry - your mom must not be making good things in there. My recipes always turn out so good. Like my Mississippi Pot Roast, Corned Beef or Healthy Chili. I do plan to share more crockpot recipes!

Here's what you'll need:

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs - You can use whichever chicken you prefer this is just what I used! Remember, if you do use chicken with the skin, the macros will change. If you want a leaner meat, use chicken breasts.
  • Crockpot - Guys, please. You should already have this! Or am I just addicted to buying kitchen items? No, you actually need this. It will literally save your life on days you don't want to cook the family dinner and are exhausted. If you're a working mom, I know your pain. We are in this together. Dramatic? A little but very much accurate.
  • Walden Farms Syrup or Honey - It's already known I love this syrup and you need to stock up. So buy the two pack. I actually switched the honey out for this because it's zero sugar.
  • Sriracha - Delicious stuff. Why is this not in your pantry? One of my favorite hot sauces!
  • Minced Garlic
  • Sugar Free Ketchup
  • Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • Dried Oregano
  • Parsley
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Cornstarch

Is there any swaps for honey?

Honey is great but I have found you can swap it out with Walden Farms Syrup. It's just delicious.

Ingredients
  • 6-8 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • 4 Cloves of Minced Garlic
  • 1/3 cups Walden Farms Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 cups Sriracha
  • 1/4 cups Sugar Free Ketchup
  • 1/2 cups Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
Instructions
  1. Place your boneless, skinless chicken thighs at the bottom of your crockpot.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine your garlic, maple syrup, sriracha, sugar-free ketchup, low sodium soy sauce, dried oregano, parsley and whisk.

  3. Pour your sauce over your chicken, put the lid on and place on low for 4 to 5 hours or 3 to 4 hours on high. DO not clasp the lid shut.

  4. When your chicken has about 30 minutes left, you're going to mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of cold water and whisk together until smooth. It should look similar to milk.

  5. Add that cornstarch slurry to your crockpot and whisk well until fully dissolved. If not mixed well, it can create clumps.

  6. After, close the lid to finish cooking for another 30 minutes. This creates a delicious thick sauce.

  7. Add some rice and veggies to make it a complete meal!
