These Sweet and Salty Butterscotch Bars are so addicting. This is my warning to you all now - it's the perfect combo of sweet and salty.
I'm more of a savory person but I occasionally crave something sweet. Especially around that time of the month. So when I made these, I knew they would be a staple for when I'm on my period. And now I've made the recipe for you or your hubby to make you.
I feel like Holiday treats have become a part of me and my brand. I've absolutely LOVED making them and I think they're so fun. It's my favorite part about sharing recipes now. These would be perfect in any holiday treat bag or for a gal's brunch.
Once again, it's an extremely easy recipe. It's only on the stove for a few minutes and then you pop it in the fridge for about an hour. So after that, go get ready, kick your feet up, don't worry about a hot oven and in about an hour enjoy a butterscotch square.
I love no bake recipes. If I don't have to turn on my oven, especially in Summer or just a hot day in San Diego, I am happy. It also comes in handy when you're in a rush or during the holidays. You can pop it in the fridge and come back to it when you can. PLUS, you can make multiple recipes. Well, if you have a lot of fridge space. So I am all for a no bake recipe.
Just to name a few:
In a medium pan over medium heat, combine your butter, butterscotch chips and peanut butter. Stir until well combined.
Remove from the heat and set aside allowing it to cool for about five minutes.
Add your pretzels to a bag and crush them into smaller pieces.
Next, fold in your mini marshmallows and crushed pretzels.
Add your batter to an 8x8 lined baking sheet.
Then, top with a pinch of crushed pretzels and refrigerate for for 45-55 minutes.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
