How fun is this Frankenstein's Feet Loaf? On one hand it looks disgusting, but let me tell you... It tastes so good. The toenails totally gross me out! Again, the kids are just loving all these Halloween themed treats and dinners.
Absolutely. While meatloaf is usually cooked in a bread pan, when cooked on a baking sheet with parchment paper, the edges get crispier. You can also get creative and make it into something else, like Frankenstein's feet. If your baking sheet doesn't have the curves edges, you can create it out of foil. You'll want to do this so that the juices don't drip down onto your oven.
Bake the "foot" loaf at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Add your homemade ketchup and bake for a few additional minutes.
If you decide to skip out on the foot meatloaf and want to make it in a regular sized bread pan, bake for 40 minutes on 375 degrees. After, add your homemade ketchup and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until internal temp is 160 degrees. I like to use this meat thermometer I got from Amazon.
This comes down to personal preference. I like to use ground turkey but you can use ground beef as well. With all the ingredients you add, it keeps your meatloaf moist and flavorful.
I was in a rush and completely ran out of my homemade ketchup, which I would usually use, so I used the rest of my sugar free one. It's obviously much better with the homemade one so I decided to give this recipe to you out of my It's Saucy E-book!
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and whisk. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes or until thick. Store in the fridge in an air tight container.

This recipe was inspired by the talented Sunny Anderson! I absolutely love her.
In a big bowl, mix all ingredients. DO NOT over mix. This can lead to a tough/dense meatloaf.
Separate into 2 rectangles. Then, shape as feet.
Then, embellish the feet with onion toenails and an onion ankle bone.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160 degrees. You can check this with a meat thermometer.
Top with my homemade ketchup for blood and enjoy.
