These Delicious Loaded Baked Apples are so simple and yet so delectable. They give you all the flavors of a warm apple pie topped with ice cream but with less calories.
Not only is it lower in calories, but I'm not one to bake a whole apple pie out of the blue. If I'm baking a pie, this needs to be penciled into my calendar. Between work, my girls and content creation and then add on grocery shopping. All these ingredients I have in my house most of the time and staples you should have as well. Especially the cool whip! You can do so much with it and it's so creamy and delicious.
Now, if you're not a big apple pie person, I have tons of other east and delicious dessert recipes.
Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees.
Cut your apples in half and remove the core.
Add the apples to your baking dish.
In a small dish, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
In another bowl, melt down your butter.
Baste your apples with the melted butter.
Top with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until tender.
Top with frozen cool whip.
