Not one person can turn down this 4 Ingredient Christmas Crack! I mean what's not to love? Sweet, salty and crunchy. You know I love to hear that crunch! They don't call me the crunch queen for nothing!
I have to give you all a warning - this is highly addictive. So be careful and make at your own risk.
I am seriously trying to wrap my head around how Christmas is in a week. This Christmas Crack is going to save your life if you're trying to think of a quick and easy recipe. Additionally, it only has 4 ingredients! I bet you have most of them in your kitchen cabinet right now.
While it's great to bring to a potluck, it's also great to add to your family's Christmas presents. Just wrap it in cellophane bags with a cute bow or a little tin. People always love something homemade and made with love!
You can prep this beforehand and store it in an airtight container at room temperature for 5-6 days or in the fridge for 10! Believe me, this stuff will be gone in a blink of an eye.
For my Christmas Crack I decided to use red and green sprinkles with walnuts. For that extra crunch and tiny bit of flavor from the nuts.
This is meant to be cut funky! I like to just start breaking up random pieces and shapes.
If you're counting your macros, I would cut it up evenly into 24 pieces.
Pre-heat over to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the crackers in a single layer.
In a sauce pan, melt together the brown sugar and butter. Stir frequently over medium heat.
Bring to a boil and boil for three minutes stirring continuously.
Pour caramel mixture over your saltine crackers and spread evenly.
Bake in the oven for five minutes. The caramel should be bubbling.
While still warm, sprinkle on your chocolate chips and let it sit for a few minutes to melt.
Spread your chocolate over the caramel mixture and saltine crackers.
Sprinkle with festive sprinkles, nuts or flaky sea salt.
